North Stainley Estate will be mounting a public exhibition to give residents the opportunity to view their plans for a further extension to Potgate Quarry. The Estate says that the extension will enable the quarry to continue operating for a further eighteen years and that the area will be restored afterwards to agriculture, grassland and woodland.
The exhibition will be held at the village pub, The Stag's Head, on Tuesday 25th February 2020 between 3pm and 8pm. There will be information boards showing the location of the proposed extension, how it will be worked and subsequently restored, and how the quarry will support the Estate's long-term vision for the village.
The Group Chairman James Staveley, Managing Director Kevin Parker, and the Estate's advisers will all be on hand to answer any questions and everyone is welcome to attend.
