There is a Household Waste & Recycling Centre at Dallamires Crescent, Dallamires Lane, RIPON HG4 1TT.  The centre is open everyday except Wednesdays, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.  Opening hours are 8:30am – 5:00pm April to September and 8:30am – 4:00pm October to March.  Please allow enough time to unload your waste before the site closes.

Items accepted at the site are limited to:

• paper, cardboard, telephone directories, books
• garden waste (no biodegradable bags)
• glass, food and drink cans, foil
• scrap metal
• plastic bottles
• mixed textiles and clothes
• batteries, fluoerescent tubes, tvs and monitors, fridges and freezers, large and small appliances
• furniture (inc. beds, mattresses, sofas and chairs), bric-a-brac
• cooking oil
• car batteries, used engine oil, tyres
• wood and timber
• hardcore, rubble and plasterboard
• gas bottles
• waste for landfill
