North Stainley (Inc. Mickley) Oil Club
Do you use oil to heat your home?
Would you like to save money on your fuel bill?
Then, why not consider joining the North Stainley Oil Club?
The Oil Club was formed in 2012 and there are 5 scheduled deliveries each year.
How does it work?
• The club co-ordinator posts on the Facebook village Hub and emails existing members to inform
them of the ordering dates.
• Members inform the Co-ordinator about how much oil they want- either a fixed number of litres
(minimum order legally is 500 litres) or ‘fill up the tank’. An estimate of the likely quantity is
required for the coordinator to negotiate the total volume with suppliers.
• The Co-ordinator contacts Oil Companies for prices based on the total volume, and provides to
chosen supplier with the order details and contact information of each member requiring oil.
• The chosen oil company contacts and arranges delivery with each member direct.
• The oil is delivered within a week and the oil supplier sends each members a bill for their own oil.
The bill is payable direct to the supplier by cheque, card or BACS.
Who can join?
Any resident in North Stainley, North Lees and Mickley Village who uses domestic heating oil.
